What’s new

Every TaboraX update, newest first.

1.2.2 — Tame your tabs

October 2026

  • All your open tabs, in one list. The Tabs pane now shows every tab of every window: search them, jump to one, close one, or close every duplicate at once. Free on every plan.
  • Tidy-up for old tabs. Tabs you haven't opened for 3 days are counted on the Tabs button, and one click archives them — closed, but kept and searchable. TaboraX only suggests; nothing is closed on its own. (X Flow)
  • Recent windows. Copies of what was open are kept on your device, so tabs lost to a crash come back in one click. (X Flow)

1.2.1 — Nothing gets lost

October 2026

  • Restore points. TaboraX keeps copies of your setup on your device — every day, after each update, and before an import, a restore or synced data replaces it. Put one back from Settings → Backup to undo any mistake. Free on every plan.
  • Import from other apps. Bring in bookmarks exported from any browser (Chrome, Edge favorites, Firefox, Brave), or exports from Arc, Pocket, OneTab, Toby, Session Buddy, Instapaper and Raindrop. Each folder becomes a group; the file never leaves your computer.
  • Clearer messages after logging out, and a sign-in button when a feature belongs to your plan.
  • The chosen accent colour is no longer clipped in Settings.

1.2.0 — The biggest update yet

October 2026

  • 11 languages. English, Español, Português, Français, Deutsch, Italiano, Русский, Bahasa Indonesia, हिन्दी, नेपाली and 日本語 — it follows your browser, or pick one in Settings → View.
  • Command palette. Press Ctrl K to open any shortcut, note, setting or search from one box.
  • Keyboard shortcuts. 1–9 open your shortcuts, F turns on focus mode, ? lists every key.
  • Focus mode. Only the clock and search stay on screen.
  • Focus timer. 25-minute focus sessions with breaks, in the Notes panel, with a small countdown next to the clock. (X Flow)
  • Block distracting sites while you focus. List the sites; during a session they show a calm reminder instead. The browser asks once, for just those sites. (X Flow)
  • Saved tabs. Put every tab of a window away in one click to free up memory, then bring them back — all at once, in a new window, or as a group. (X Flow)
  • Your week. Focus sessions, finished to-dos and your streak, drawn as a card you can save or share. A short note every Monday.
  • Share a group by link. Anyone with the link sees its sites on taborax.com, and TaboraX users add it in one step. The link carries the key, so our server can't read what's shared.
  • Groups that open by themselves at the times you choose — Work on weekday mornings, say. (X Flow)
  • Scam-link guard. Addresses that imitate a well-known site (paypa1.com, g00gle.com) get a warning, and short links show where they really go before you open them.
  • Family lock. A PIN for settings, shortcuts and the account on a shared computer, with SafeSearch kept on. (X Flow)
  • TaboraX on the web. See your synced shortcuts, notes and to-dos on any computer at taborax.com/app.html, unlocked in that browser only. (X Flux)
  • Founder's offer. X Flux for life, one payment, for the first 500 buyers.
  • Several notes, and to-dos with due dates, stars and a Today view. (X Flow)
  • World clocks next to the date, and an optional quote of the day.
  • Eight art wallpapers, plus accent colours and light or dark panels. (Colours and panels: X Flow)
  • Welcome tour for new installs, and importing your bookmarks bar or most-visited sites. The browser asks first, and the access is handed back straight after.
  • Signed-in devices. See where your account is signed in and sign any device out.
  • Invite friends. Share your invite code: when a friend signs up with it, you both get 30 free days of X Flow.
  • Your wallpaper photo syncs to your other devices, encrypted like the rest of your data. (X Flux)
  • Faster and more private. Fonts now ship inside the extension, so a new tab never calls Google, and start-up does less work.
  • A reminder before the launch offer ends, and a notice when a newer version is out (for zip installs).

1.1.4 — Steadier sync

October 2026

  • Changes made just before closing a tab are still saved to your account.
  • A short note when your shortcuts were updated from another device.

1.1.2 — Lighter new tab

September 2026

  • Shortcuts are drawn once instead of twice, site icons are remembered, and page changes are smoother.

1.1.1 — Fix

September 2026

  • Fixed a problem where signing in could make the new tab reload over and over.

1.1.0 — Sync, safety and a calendar

September 2026

  • End-to-end encrypted sync of shortcuts, notes, to-dos and settings.
  • Calendar with AD dates and Bikram Sambat (BS).
  • Link safety check for addresses typed in the search bar, and SafeSearch.
  • X Spark, X Flow and X Flux plans.

1.0.0 — First release

2026

  • Shortcut groups and folders, a live sky that follows the time of day, notes, to-dos, weather and backups.
